Position Summary
IFG Progress is a leading Think-Tank established by the Indonesia Financial Group as a source of progressive ideas for policymakers, academics, and industry players in advancing the financial services industry.
Currently, IFG is seeking a Research Assistant Intern to work under the leadership of the IFG Progress Team. Research assistant intern will provide technical support in any research projects with a specific focus on macroeconomics and financial issues. This position is open to all who are students or graduates who have experience in the field and looking to gain knowledge and practical experience within state-owned strategic holding company as part of their studies.
Key Rensponsibilities
- Assist the Research Associate to manage research projects end-to-end (brainstorming the idea, work plan, data analysis, and written report) with a specific issues in macroeconomics, financial, banking, non-bank financial industry (insurance and pension funds), and also digital and green economy.
- Providing support to analyze data using a range of quantitative economic research methods to provide data-driven insights. These methods may include descriptive statistics, econometrics, and any kind of analytical and statistic tools.
- Helping the team to collect macroeconomics and financial data with Bloomberg Terminal, CEIC, and other external resources.
- Helping the team to organize focus group discussions and conferences involves cross-sectoral collaboration with various stakeholders.
- Assisting the team for preparation presentation materials, if any.
- Assist for other ad-hoc tasks.
Qualifications
- Undergraduate or master students in Economics, Management, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, or other related fields from a reputable university (fresh graduates are welcome);
- Passionate for research, analysis related to macroeconomics, financial, banking, non-bank financial industry (insurance and pension funds), digital and green economy;
- Excellent analytical capabilities working and comfortable with large data sets and rigorous attention to detail;
- Must have: Proficiency in Microsoft Office. Preferably proficient in at least one statistical analysis software such as Eviews, STATA, R, etc;
- Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills. Willing to do non-research related tasks such as event organizing;
- Able to work hybrid (WFO and WFH) full-time for 3-6 months internship at least and ready to join as soon as possible.
